General Policies and Procedures
Booking and Scheduling: To request a booking, please use our online booking system directly. Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. For any questions or concerns, please contact us via email using the Contact button on our homepage. Confirmation and Changes: We will confirm your appointment within 24 hours of your booking request. Changes to appointments may be necessary based on customer or provider availability and will be communicated promptly. Service Area and Mileage: Solid Step provides services at the client's home in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Clients are responsible for paying mileage outside of Indianapolis at a rate of $0.70 per mile. The final booking cost, including any applicable mileage charges, will be confirmed prior to the appointment. Payment Policy: Payment for services must be made in full 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the booking. Invoice will be sent via your email with instructions on payments accepted. Please make use of any loyalty bones (points) that you may have while requesting the appointment. Payment plans may be available, contact us for more details. We offer a discount on services if clients permit Solid Step to take photos of their pet during training sessions. These photos may be used for promotional purposes on our website, social media, or other marketing Liability Disclaimer: Please be advised that Solid Step assumes no liability for any incidents, accidents, or injuries that may occur during our training sessions. Clients are responsible for their pet's behavior and any consequences thereof during and after training sessions. Solid Step recommends that clients have appropriate insurance coverage for their pets. Additional Policies: Solid Step reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services in cases where the safety of our staff or the animal is compromised. We prioritize positive reinforcement training methods and expect clients to treat our trainers with respect and courtesy. Privacy Policy: Client information and session details are kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing our services. Please note that recording of sessions is not permitted without prior consent from Solid Step. This is to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of our training methods and client interactions. Agreement: By booking our services, you agree to abide by these policies and terms.
Dog Walking-Specific Policies
Hourly walk rates will be pro-rated. Will reach out to confirm booking within 24 hours of appointment request. For questions or concerns, please reach out via Contact button at the top of our homepage. Price will have to be paid in FULL at least 24 hours before appointment, or it is at risk of being canceled. Confirmation and invoice will be sent to your email. Dog Walking Policy 1. Initial Consultation: Before beginning services, I conduct a complimentary meet-and-greet with you and your dog(s). This allows us to get acquainted, discuss your dog's routine and specific needs, review paperwork, and address any questions or concerns you may have. 2. Service Areas: I provide dog walking services within Indianapolis. Please inquire for availability if you reside outside this area. Mileage will be calculated and included in invoice for services outside of Indianapolis. 3. Walking Schedule: Walks are typically scheduled at agreed-upon times. I strive to maintain consistency to ensure your dog's comfort and routine, returning guests will receive discounts. 4. Duration of Walks: Each walk typically lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your dog's needs and preferences. 5. Safety Measures: All dogs are walked on a leash unless written consent is provided for off-leash activities in safe, designated areas. I use secure harnesses or collars to ensure your dog's safety during walks. 6. Weather Policy: I walk dogs in light rain but may reschedule in cases of severe weather (e.g., thunderstorms, extreme heat). 7. Cancellation Policy: Please provide at least 24 hour notice for cancellations. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee of $20. 8. Health and Vaccinations: All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and parvovirus. Please provide proof of vaccinations during the initial consultation. 9. Emergency Procedures: In case of emergency (e.g., illness, injury), I will immediately contact you and follow your specified emergency plan. If veterinary care is necessary, I will transport your dog to the nearest veterinary clinic. 10.
